How to Overcome Resistance to Change in Others and Yourself |Dr. Mark Goulston | Co-Founder | Heartfelt Leadership

This document is the soft copy of the presentation by Dr. Mark Goulston.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. - Wayne Dyer.

This disruptive webinar on overcoming resistance will forever change the way you view resistance to change in others and yourself.

How?

It will reveal to you that resistance doesn't exist and when you realize it, you and others will spontaneously communicate, cooperate and collaborate. Here is a small example of what we mean.

How often have you been in a argument with another person (often a spouse or teenager) where you feel unfairly attacked?

And how often do you think there is a possibility that they might be perceiving you as saying to them, "I'm right and you're wrong" (which might explain why they are attacking you) when actually from your point of view what you are really meaning to say is: "I'm not wrong!"

If you were to now look at that conversation from outside it, might you conclude, "They're attacking each other" or perhaps, "They're each protecting themselves from feeling attacked?" In other words, "They're both actually on the defensive but are being perceived by each other as being on the offensive."

In this webinar you will learn to view the notion of "resistance and how it doesn't exist" through the lens of evolutionary psychology and you will never look at or approach conflict in the same way again.

What will you learn?

  • Why others resist change?
  • Why you resist change?
  • How in fact resistance doesn't exist?
  • To spontaneously cause people to lower their walls.
  • To talk WITH instead of AT, OVER or even TO people and get through to anyone.
